Ottawa Wedding Photography – Sneak Peek

September 30, 2011

I spent the day with the wonderful AM and J last Saturday. The rain held off, they were so relaxed and organized and the day was wonderful! I’m still working my way through the images, but couldn’t resist posting a few to start the day 🙂

Thanks to you both for sharing your day with me…

Farm and Food – Eating Rainbows

September 28, 2011

My love affair with our local Farmers Market continues…My favourite place to get veggies at the moment is the Rainbow Heritage Farm stall at the Carp Market (go check them out and see how much they rock..)

They sweetly let me click a couple or frames at their table a couple of weeks ago because I couldn’t resist the colours (the taste was pretty fantastic too…) Can you tell I love the carrots? I really can’t decide which shot of these beauties I like best, so I’m posting them all. Sorry. But, seriously, how can we choose the produce isle over this??

birthday boy {Family Friday}

September 17, 2011

My first born turns 7 tomorrow. Yikes.

We were scoping out a location for some up coming sessions and decided to take some portraits to mark the occasion. Its one thing getting a 7 yr old boy to cooperate with photos, but quite another to get his 4 yr old brother to join in. But we had fun. And there were ducks. So all good 😉

You can see some of the finished results, and the outtakes below…

And We Can Set Sail – the finale!

August 30, 2011

Ottawa singer / songwriter Pat Mayberry approached me at the beginning of the summer to work with her in ‘animating’ one of her beautiful love songs with some images. The song centres around sailing on a lake, so we had a great couple of days shooting and boating on Lac Simon. If only all work was so relaxing!

Here are the results of our little video project. If you are interested in sharing please do, but we ask that you let us know, and credit back the work.

Enjoy 🙂

We Can Set Sail

August 25, 2011

I’m working on a collaboration with the fantastically talented Pat Mayberry. Its a new thing and is pushing some boundaries, both photographically and technically!  There will be more to come soon, but just to set the mood….

Childrens Photographer {Family on Friday – Photobooth Fun}

August 5, 2011

These are my guys. Total goofs. These ‘photo booth’ shots are for the play room walls in our new house. Which, by the way is crazy and full of boxes that I am ready to admit will never, ever go away. Ever. Did I mention I hate moving? Good thing I have the goof brothers to keep us smiling.

Ottawa Children Photographer {F & O Playing in the gardens}

July 25, 2011

I love these two. They are fun, and busy and give no shortage of opportunities to mix things up photo-wise. We were on the move this whole session, running and playing and trying desperately to avoid the bugs! Towards the end my comment of  ‘well, I think we are just about done..!’ was met by shouts of ‘NO!’ and as I agreed we could do one more 5 year old F took off at a run calling that he had a ‘perfect place’. He was so right. The last shot of the day was a keeper, and all because of him (although it helped to pull out the bodily function humor, too 😉

For me each new shoot becomes a favourite, and I am SO in love with this one.. Be warned, this post is image heavy…..

Ottawa Childrens Photographer {Sneak Peak!}

July 20, 2011

I had a great session with these two on Monday, and after dodging the rain for a week we had the perfect evening. Sadly the bugs thought so too… This is my second session with F and O, and it was such a privilege to see how they’ve grown and to capture that for their family.Thanks for the enthusiasm all!

Couldn’t resist a very quick preview… more to come later!
